Tutorial (1-16)

1/2 do not use mobile devices: smartphone, tablet, ipad

2/2 do only use desktop devices: windows, mac-os, linux

Step 1:
  1. : login to your Google account (@gmail.com)
  2. : visit the following link next:
    https://console.cloud.google.com/
    (you will be automatically redirected to a new page[01] when you visit the website)
  3. : select your Country
  4. : accept their Terms of Service ☑
  5. : skip their Email updates (or accept)
  6. : click on AGREE AND CONTINUE

Step 2:
  1. : click on the Select a project box

Step 3:
  1. : click on NEW PROJECT

Step 4:
  1. : pick a unique name for your project in the Project name[02] field
  2. : leave the Location field as is, at No organization
  3. : click on CREATE

Step 5:
  1. : click on the Select a project box again
  2. : click on your new project name

Step 6:
  1. : now, your new project name is showing up where it used to say Select a project[02]
  2. : click on the hamburger button ☰ (three lines on top of each other)

Step 7:
  1. : hover over APIs & Services[03] for more options
  2. : click on Enabled APIs & services

Step 8:
  1. : click on Library

Step 9:
  1. : find the YouTube Data API v3
  2. : click on YouTube Data API v3

Step 10:
  1. : click on ENABLE
  2. : after that a redirect happens

Step 11:
  1. : the redirect takes you to a specific page
  2. : on that page you can see the enabled service
  3. : click on Credentials

Step 12:
  1. : click on CREATE CREDENTIALS for more options

Step 13:
  1. : click on API key

Step 14:
  1. : Creating API key message is shown
  2. : await for another message
  3. : do not click elsewhere yet

Step 15:
  1. : API key created message is shown
  2. : your new API key is ready (grab it now)
  3. : click on CLOSE

Step 16:
  1. : success (after the previous step)
  2. : you can grab your API key at any time by clicking on SHOW KEY
  3. : that's it
